There is nothing better than a glass of Scrumpy cider after a long day of surfing in Cornwall or Devon but there is nothing worse than trying to get dry and warm in an already damp tent. That’s why I no longer camp on my annual pilgrimage to the beach. This summer many hundreds of surfing amateurs and pros alike will be headed for British and European seas, and more of them than ever are going by caravan.
Caravans are by far the best choice for a surfing holiday; there is numerous space for wet suits, towels and surfboards. I don’t have mine board but it’s much less costly to lease one for the week in place of a day. It is not just at a lower cost but you have the chance to really get the experience of the board. Hiring a board for the seven days is pretty challenging without a caravan; even a short board would be difficult to squeeze in a tent. This is one of the reasons why I feel like a pro every year, despite sitting on my board in the green waves and looking for seals for the majority of the day.
The problem with caravans is the insurance. It is easy to forget to check if their insurance can give them the cover they require. If travelling to Europe then you have to make sure you have the right European caravan insurance or else you maybe left less mellow than the average surfer when something goes wrong! Don’t let some uninsured driver make you miss the surf this year, get caravan insurance!
Surfing all day means leaving the caravan unattended. Any true surfing lover will realize that the early surf is the best. On balance who would like to share the waves with the foam board tourists? That’s why you ought to make sure that your caravan insurance protects your contents. Especially if you’ve any second planks left in it! A good specialist caravan insurance broker will be in a position to talk you through exactly what your policy includes.
Surfers are meant to be worry free so let someone else do the worrying! Don’t leave anything to chance this summer and get the right insurance for your caravan. Don’t forget that mileage, overseas travel and what you require to protect can all have a bearing on your cover so chat with an agent that can find the correct policy for you. Enjoy the surf!
It’s sometimes hard to get caravan insurance that covers precisely what you want it to. If you want to ensure that you don’t get swindled by your insurers it’s best to use a broker that has existing relationships with insurance providers and who know their field inside out. Click on caravan insurance to go to Coversure’s website.

It was five years ago, on my annual trip to Leeds Festival that I became a caravan lover. That year I didn’t have an early pass and was desperate to find a place to camp before there was no space left when the strap on my main rucksack broke. I balanced it on my tent bag and trudged on through the, now liquid, mud. Subsequently this additional weight then broke the strap on my tent bag, leaving me stranded.
Fortunately some friends of mine were nearby in the caravan section and helped me carry my things to their caravan. What luxury! It was only a cheap caravan but when equated with my one-man tent in which I couldn’t lie down straight, even without my bag, it was brilliant. How jealous I was of their luxury caravan when I opened my bag to find half of my things broken and damaged by the fall in the mud.
The next year I was of course in one of those dry, warm caravans and happily watched the other festivalgoers struggle with their bags. Evidently my luck hadn’t improved and the caravan flooded. Again my new Top Shop inspired festival wardrobe was destroyed together with the majority of the caravan.
Thankfully I’d thought to check that contents were included on my caravan insurance. We didn’t have to worry about the harm to the caravan and I would even say we enjoyed living in the damp for three days. In the end, it is all part of the festival experience.
Now we have annual caravan holidays abroad, which are ideal for a low cost holiday with friends. I wouldn’t stop my caravan holidays for anything and definitely wouldn’t risk an uninsured driver hitting us and spoiling our tradition. Since the flood incident I always make sure we have the right insurance cover for whatever country we happen to go to, it’s so critical to have the right cover for European travel.
If you’ve a motor home then you have good taste, and really know how to have a good time. Enjoy your motor caravan and go on holiday. But don’t forget that holidays are meant to be stress free; with our less than reliable weather this isn’t forever the situation. Get the right cover for your vacation and have fun!
You will need to make sure that when you go to your festival of choice or off on your holiday that you have the correct caravan insurance to cover everything that could go wrong. Coversure are a trusted insurance broker with strong relationships with insurance providers. They will be able to secure you the best deal on your caravan insurance.

It is pretty easy to find cheap car rental, you just know a few tricks. Did you know that it is better to rent a car in the weekend or for a week? Do you know how to get an upgrade or a few extra hours for free? Are you choosing the right insurances and are you prepaying the car. Learn all the tricks to get an inexpensive car rental.
The best way to find cheap car rental is to compare the different car rental agencies. It can be very time-consuming, but fortunately you can find car rental search engines on the Internet that can compare the rate from several agencies for you. You just have to enter the locations and the dates, and then the website will find the cheapest offers.
Another way to find cheap car rental is to rent the car in the weekend. Most car rental agencies have special weekend offers. So try to plan your vacation, so you can use the car in the weekend.
Another way to find cheap car rental is long term rental. It is often possible to rent a car for a week for the same price as 4 or 5 days will cost you.
Do you want a larger car model? Then ask. The car rental agencies are willing to buy your loyalty by offering you extra service, so if you ask for an upgrade, they will normally give it to you, if it is possible. But do not plan your whole vacation (and your luggage) on it. Think about it as an extra bonus.
You can save a lot of money on the insurance. But be sure to read the policy closely, before you say no to the insurance. It can cost you a lot of extra money, if you are involved in an accident.
On the other hand there is a lot of extra, easy money to be earned for the car rental agencies on the insurance part of the car rental. So use your common sense and buy only the insurances you think you need.
A normal car rental day is 24 hours. So you can save a whole day, if you keep it for e.g. 23 hours instead of 25 hours. So try to plan your vacation, so you can return it earlier on the returning day than on the day you collected it. If it is not possible, you can try to ask the car rental agency if it is possible to keep it a few extra hours for free. Normally it is not a problem.
Finally it is normally cheaper if you prepay the car. So find a good price on the Internet and book the car instead of doing it when you arrive to the destination. An added bonus is also that the car is ready for you at the airport.

Caravan Owners are not checking their holiday insurance documents to see if they are covered by the disruption caused by volcano eruptions. This Easter saw the elevation of caravan holidays to the status of “most convenient”.
It was an extremely satisfying feeling, pulling my caravan home under clear, aeroplane-free skies and not worrying in the slightest about whether my insurance covered me against volcanic eruptions happening in far off countries. As a caravan lover, I felt vindicated. The next time someone says that towing caravans is slow and holds up the roads, remind them of the time back in Easter 2010 when a caravan could get from anywhere in Europe, to nearly anywhere else in Europe faster than the average plane.
As well as that, most anti-caravan type people often refer to caravans as being tight and claustrophobic, but even the smallest of caravans would have seemed thankfully open and spacious compared to a spot on an airport floor or a single seat on a coach.
This is all, of course irrelevant within the caravan community; we like our holidays and you like yours. How tedious would the world be if we all liked the same things? However the reason for the somewhat smug nature of this article is that those who are not into caravanning often tend to poke fun at our choice of holiday, while we rarely, if ever, do the same to them.
So I think it’s fair to say that aeroplane users definitely had the bulk of the travel trouble this Easter. However, I did incur some costs myself that I (unlike the plane brigade) could have avoided, however they weren’t costs I could have insured against.
I took a copy of Caravan Magazine with me because we are thinking of buying a new one (caravan that is, not magazine). We planned to read all about the cost and proportions of our next purchase, but ended up reading their insurance survey. It looks like, because I couldn’t be bothered to call a broker, I have overpaid on my own caravan insurance – by quite a lot. If you are looking for cheap caravan insurance, you ought to shop around, because the Caravan Magazine Insurance Survey had loads of comparisons, and I was surprised by the results.
If you are looking for caravan insurance, but want to make sure you get the best deal, you should arrange it through Coversure. They are an insurance broker with excellent relationships with providers and can always secure a great deal on static caravan insurance or touring caravan insurance.

No matter whether you use your caravan for your holidays, your main home or attach it to the back of your car in nice weather you should make sure that you have caravan insurance. It may be something that you have not thought of, especially if it spends most of the time on your front drive, but it is a necessity as we never know what is round the corner.
The type of insurance you will need is mostly dependant on whether your caravan is a static or touring one. You should think of when you will be using it and also how much the belongings you keep in there whether temporarily or permanently are worth. This will mean that should anything happen you will be able to get the items replaced.
People who own static caravans often have furniture or add a patio to the outside so you will want to speak to the insurer about whether they will cover these also as these will be the most vulnerable items that are not under lock and key.
If your caravan was to be stolen then you need to decide whether you want to be covered so that you can get a new caravan for your old one then you may have to pay extra on your policy, however it will be worthwhile if you can afford it. You can also get a policy that will pay out the current value of your make and model of caravan.
It is worthwhile making sure that you have caravan coverage. This will ensure that should any accidents occur, whether on the road or when the caravan is static that you will be covered. It will also make sure that your belongings are covered whether you are at home or away.
Even if the static caravan is where you live you can still have the coverage you need so that even if you can secure your home as you would a house, you are still able to make sure that any damage or loss can be recovered without extra cost to you.
Caravan insurancecaravan Insurance is one of the most necessary aspects that you can get in this day and age. There are lots of benefits that you can find when you get this kind of Insurance.

Caravans and motor caravans have made quite a comeback. We’ve noticed it in the insurance brokers, and I’m sure they’ve noticed it in travel agents and caravan parks too. It seems that in a drive to save money, people have turned their backs on costly overseas destinations. Official Figures suggest that an extra 5 million holidays will be taken at home this year.
The National Caravan Council state that there are now five hundred thousand caravans being used on a regular basis across Britain by around 1.5 million caravan lovers. Alongside this, the Camping and Caravanning Club has seen a huge rise in bookings or around 21%. So overall, caravan manufacturers aren’t complaining about the recession!
All these rises in local holidaying mean that the roads are going to get very busy over the summer and so will take more of a beating, all over the top of the battering they took over the winter. We have all seen the horrid potholes in the road that have appeared since the snow.
There have been times, when out on my bike, I have wondered if I might see a little kangaroo head sticking out from one of those pot holes. I am sure they will be causing damage to cars, caravans and motor caravans. Indeed I wonder whether they will actually cause accidents.
It is not a compulsory thing to have caravan insurance. However while it is optional, it is highly advisable that you take some out, after all, you wouldn’t want to pull any other valuable belonging of yours behind your car or leave it on its own in a park without having insurance for it would you? There are over 30 companies who provide caravan and motorhome insurance and so there is specialist advice out there, it’s just a matter of having the will to look for it. It is advisable to get a broker to help you track down the best deal for your specific needs as it’s good to get advice from a real person and to have your questions answered with no hassle.
If you are after caravan insurance, your best bet is to have a broker secure you the best price possible as many of them have long-standing relationships with the insurance companies and so can get you the caravan insurance for a cheaper price.

Chester Cooke was excited by the prospect of buying a caravan on the banks of the River Avon, not far from Stratford, on a professionally run, well maintained and gorgeous site with lots of amenities. Being a diligent kind of chap, he looked into all of the potential issues, after all you can’t be too careful with the thick end of twenty grand plus annual service charges, which didn’t include insurance for some reason.
So he then called his broker and said that he was looking for some caravan insurance. His broker then told him that that shouldn’t be a problem and he would be more than happy to get him a quote. So Chester gave his broker the details of the caravan and where it would be situated.
A few minutes later the broker called him back. Unfortunately he would not be able to give Chester a quote for the caravan insurance. Although the caravan site met all the normal criteria, there was a problem with the beauty spot itself. It was on the banks of the river, right at the water edge, and the Avon had flooded last year. Chester remembered seeing the reports on the news. Apparently there had been lots of claims for flood damage and insurers were unwilling to write any new caravan insurance for sites on the banks of the Avon. If he was going to buy a caravan there, it would be at his own risk.
This news meant that Chester would have to re-think his ideas about buying a caravan. Since it was highly likely that the Avon would flood again at some point, he couldn’t afford to risk placing it there without insurance. He asked his broker what the “normal criteria” of a caravan site was so that he could bare it in mind if he was still going to go ahead and buy his caravan.
A registered CaSSOA site is ideal for caravan insurance providers. The reason for this is that these sites have security standards. Another thing to look for in a caravan site is a secure boundary like a fence or a tall, thick bush running around the boundaries of the site. If the caravan is to be placed in a less formal location, such as a farm, then the caravan should have its own compound and it own defined perimeter. Some insurance providers insist that a caravan site must have a certain number of caravans placed there before they will insure any, safety in numbers as it were.
Before this, Chester hadn’t really given much though to caravan insurance. He didn’t think it was going to be such a big part his decision to buy a caravan. All he knew was that he was grateful to have a good broker who knew how to take care of it all because after all, all he really wanted to do was enjoy his caravan. The insurance was just to take the worry out of owning it.
Caravan insurance is one of the biggest factors to take into consideration when thinking about buying a caravan. Coversure are a leading provider of caravan insurance and can offer you advice, or a quote to insure your caravan

If you are anything like me, your getting on a bit and you probably think you’ve seen the last of your summer music festivals with sweltering and uncomfortable tents as your only place to sleep. However, if you’re still into your music (I particularly like early 70′s bands like Soft Machine and Caravan) then you could always bring your motorhome (or someone else’s) along to a music festival and enjoy the music and the atmosphere without the rough sleep under canvas. You can listen to Caravan in your caravan!
Many people have found that the motorhome route is the one to take if you want the best of both worlds. You get all the atmosphere of the festival with the added bonus of a shower and a cup of tea in the mornings, there’s no queue for the loo and the bed is guaranteed to be dry and warm, or at least it will be as long as you don’t leave the sunroof open in a downpour!
Many owners of motorhomes rent out their motorhomes for events like this because they know that lots of people enjoy music festivals but don’t look forward to the camping, however what a lot of them don’t realise is that doing this, while perfectly legal, is usually not covered under a standard motorhome insurance policy.
I remember seeing a couple at Glastonbury last year, blissfully leaving their motorhome in the sunny early hours of the morning having breakfasted under the awning, only to return late at night to find that one of Glastonbury’s famed monsoons had filled the awning with water causing it to twist, break and generally be ruined, That’s about 1000 worth of damage and all uninsured if the vehicle had been hired out without the authority of the insurance company.
It pays to think about insurance if you’re going to let your motorhome go to Glastonbury or any other festival this year.
Best start by letting your friends have it first if you’re not going yourself, especially if you have standard insurance cover. Your local insurance broker can advise you about cover if need be but adding friends or family to an existing insurance policy is definitely the best way to go. This way you can watch the festival from the true comfort of your front room safe in the knowledge that the motorhome that is your pride and joy is being properly looked after and if not, at least you know you have the right insurance. Now where is that old Caravan t-shirt?
If you are looking for motorhome insurance then you should visit Coversure, they are among the leading providers of all kinds of vehicle insurance providing everything from basic car insurance to caravan insurance
